Position Title: Head – AHP (Erection & Commissioning)
Location: Overseas (Southern Africa)

Reports To: Project Head
Role Overview:
The Head – AHP (Erection & Commissioning) will be responsible for managing all activities related to the erection and commissioning of the Ash Handling Plant in a greenfield thermal power plant project. The role involves strategic planning, execution, coordination with contractors and OEMs, and ensuring adherence to timelines, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the complete erection and commissioning of the Ash Handling Plant (wet and dry systems).
- Prepare detailed project plans and schedules and monitor progress.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
- Troubleshoot site issues and resolve bottlenecks to ensure smooth execution.
- Conduct pre-commissioning checks, trial runs, and performance testing.
- Ensure documentation, quality checks, and handover procedures are followed.
- Manage site manpower and resource planning efficiently.
- Report project status to senior management regularly.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in AHP erection & commissioning in thermal power plants (150 MW and above).
- Proven ability to manage large-scale site operations.
